What is confirmed about Wanderburg bosses and biomes: procedural maps, multiple biomes, the desert, and the boss-growth mechanic.

Two things are official: maps are procedurally generated with multiple biomes, and the boss mechanic is that defeating a boss makes your castle grow — it’s a growth checkpoint. Beyond that, there’s no published boss roster, loot or numbers.

Biomes

The Press Kit confirms procedural maps and multiple biomes, and there’s an official Desert Biome Overview Trailer that directly confirms a desert biome. So forest/grassland and desert are already present in official material, but the full list isn’t published.

What the desert is like (media review, not official)

One detailed review describes the desert concretely enough to know it isn’t just a recolor:

  • Shifting sand and heat make movement harder, and sandstorms disrupt visibility and battlefield control.
  • Faster enemies make the already heavy, sluggish castle feel more exposed.
  • It names threats like Galloping Fortresses, Walking Hammer Towers, and Mobile Cannons that fire from off-screen.

The review’s conclusion: the desert tests whether your build still works when the terrain and enemy tempo stop cooperating.

Boss mechanic

The only officially confirmed boss point is that defeating one grows your castle — no roster, HP, loot table, or “boss spawns on wave X” numbers. One review also notes an ecology-style tactic: use a boss’s attacks to demolish nearby structures for you — treating it as a moving weapon (media hands-on, not official).

Don’t read the trailer as a full roster

Bosses shown in trailers are just showcases — don’t infer “that’s all of them”. Community boss videos are player experience; use them with version context.

How to track updates

Check the Press Kit, official trailers and Steam’s patch notes. Early Access will likely add bosses and biomes; this page reflects the wording verified on 2026-09-10.
